Supplied new in 1957 to Count Gilbert Hamilton of Swedish aristocracy. We just took the car in part exchange from a relative of the original owner. The car has been kept at a summer estate in Sweden & used only for summer motoring accounting for the amazingly preserved condition we find it in today. The car has spent its entire life in Sweden & we are the first people to take it abroad since it was delivered there.
It is a very original feeling car with a low indicated travel of 75,000 kms. The interior is original & correct with a completely un-messed around feeling to the whole thing. The previous owner tells me it had a mechanical rebuild some 10 years or so ago, but there is no documentation to evidence this. Suffice to say the car starts instantly & is a fast competent performer with a wonderful exhaust note.
The exterior paint is excellent in an off white akin to old English white. We have inspected the underside of the car & it is absolutely solid. To the inside are grey cloth seats, Grey carpets piped in blue & blue rexine type door cards.
I cannot emphasize enough how well this car drives. The 2.5 litre V6 engine fires instantly & pulls strongly with a delightful Italian rasp from the exhaust. The floor mounted gear change is a delight to use with quick easy changes & a far more modern feel to the gear box then one might expect. I had not previously driven one of these & have to say it is a real revelation.
