Brief history.
The vehicle described here was registered new on the 18 June 1990 by Mead of Bolton, Jaguar dealers. Up until my purchase the vehicle had been mainly used by Meads as a demonstrator. The mileage at the time of purchase was 7000 miles. This vehicle is part of a large private collection. The collection is being reduced in numbers because of other commitments and space availability.
First Registration 18.06.1990 Mead of Bolton
Second registration 18.04.1991 Myself
Condition
The condition of the car is exceptional both inside and out and would be described as condition 1. The interior shows very little signs of use with no wear to the leather etc. Externally the car is in wonderful condition with absolutely no rust or rot. All the panels are as you would expect along with the door shut gaps. The car has no stone chips anywhere. A minor irritation is that the windscreen has "de laminated" slightly in the lower corner of the passenger side. The roof is in good order and operates as it should. The car has had a new battery fitted and a service in 2009. Since then it has had the whole brake system overhauled including rear brake calipers and handbrake discs. All of the wheels are totally unmarked and the chrome has no signs of rust.
What comes with it.
Included in the sale are a complete original tool kit, original radio cassette player including a carry bag supplied new with the car, a green nylon roof cover supplied new with the car, a tailored car cover supplied by specialised car covers, all available documentation plus two sets of keys and a master.
All in all a wonderful example of the marquee. If you want one of the best low mileage XJS convertibles then this is the car for you.
