1996 Daimler Century 4.0 litre which celebrates 100 years of the Daimler marque. It is based on the famous XJ Series with every optional extra available of the flagship plus it is has extras including chrome turbine wheels (inc spare) Long Wheel Base with a cabin that separates it from the luxury cabin to the stateroom. The leather is the finest autolux including the doors and has thick bonded window glass including front and rear heated screens. Special door plates have the Century script and logo and are completely like new and unmarked. The interior has all 4 seats which operate electrically, adjusted separately and heated front and rear. The rear cabin has also individual illuminated vanity mirrors. The car has special air filtration and of course has automatic climate control (Works as new). The steering wheel is wood leather. The wood inside the car is burr walnut with' Century' inlay, door capings each piece hand crafted and finished by hand all together with the leather coverings applied in a manual process. The floor has special 'Century' sheep skin mats which have not been used on any wet occasion. The car has an electric sunroof. The car is fitted with the premium audio system 9 x 240 watt 8 channel amplifier designed by the international audio specialist Harman Kardon. (6 cd changer still in the box) remote for rear passengers. The car has pre wiring harness for phone but has never been used or even has one fitted (no old telephones). This car has front and rear cigar lighters but the car has never been smoked in or drink or food or sweets!!!! The rear remains totally unused as from new the front seat used twice the drivers seat covered from new with a towel for protection. It has always been kept inside in the dark when not in use. The rear picnic tables are of course new and unused. There are reading lamps in the rear pillars, also rear blinds never used. The car has 'ride level rear suspension' just perfect! This car has a 4 speed automatic gear box and of course is the most desirable model giving a top speed of 144mph (60 max to date) with a 0-60 7.8 seconds only one second slower than the V12 but so much more economical with 36.7 on a run and a stated 29.3 at 75mph. This is the famous and very reliable AJ16 power unit never as good from this model change. There is so much more I can say about this car but you may find it boring so just to say this car is like a one month old car which still drives, feel and looks like new with the unmarked paintwork it is as clean underside as it is on top with no road film underneath it is the best anywhere in the world today.
The tool kit is still in the plastic. All books original leaflet, hand books, service book and invoices are all with the car. The original hand over video is still in the box. The boot is unused as is the full size chrome spare wheel. This car has not been cleaned with any chemicals inside or out it has never seen a car wash (hand wash only) and should not be confused with other cars of it's age or even over one year old.
