Bodywork
The bodywork was restored in 2009 and the Tartan red paintwork has maintained it’s immaculate condition. The car is rust free including the underside (see photos on the ramps). The only faults I can find are a pin dent on the right front wing another on the boot lid, a small paint chip on the inside of the passenger door shut and there is age related pitting on the bumpers.
Interior & weather gear
The interior is particularly good order with new carpets, trim panels, doors & dashboard tops and the seats have been recovered. All the dials, gauges and switches on the dashboard are in full working order.. The hood has two small holes on the front which have been repaired from the inside and a 2cm tear on an inside seam which has also been addressed. The car comes with a full tonneau cover. It has a 3cm split on one the seams but it’s in usable condition.
Engine & running gear
The car has covered less then 4,000 miles in the last 20 years and a new five bearing unleaded engine was fitted in 2005 with a reconditioned gearbox. As you would expect the car drives very well, the engine oil pressure is excellent, the gear change is precise and the overdrive engages correctly. The car has been fitted with new radiator, front brakes, front suspension, rear springs, prop shaft, full exhaust, fuel tank and pump. The car was recently fully serviced and a new battery fitted.
Car details:
I have the full registration document (V5), the chassis and engine numbers match the car and it is registered in my name. The MOT is valid until the 16th March 2011, there are no MOT advisories and the car is taxed until the end of May 2011 (road tax is free). There have been 3 owners and the previous owner had the car for the last 31 years.
