1972 Lotus Europa Twin Cam. The car has had 3 owners including myself.
The first owner had the car for 32 years and the second owner was a well known Lotus enthusiast who has written several publications about classic and modern lotus vehicles.
The car had covered just 26,000 miles in the first 32 years.
When the second owner purchased the car it was completely original but in need of maintenance.
He decided to strip the car and rebuild it on a new galvanised chassis (£1057 invoice in file) this included a engine and gearbox rebuild (invoices for rebuild are in extensive history folder and total £3,720 for parts alone).
He also replaced all worn components including new brakes, seals, bushes and pipes.
The car was carefully repaired to keep it in it's unmolested and original state. The only alterations from standard are electric fuel pump, up rated oil pump, galvanised sill plates, stainless steel boot shield and front chasis plate. Braided brake hoses and copper pipes. All this work was carried out in 2004.
The car has now covered 42,645 miles and has been regularly serviced and always garaged.
The car recently travelled 500 miles to Goodwood and back. On the first day sitting in traffic for 2 hours travelling at approximately 5 mph, with no mechanical issues or faults.
This car is in a very good original condition reinforced in the photographs. The paintwork is original but in excellent condition with no accident damage.
A great opportunity to purchase an iconical car with Grand Prix heritage. These cars are presently undervalued and a example in this original state is only go to increase in price. More importantly they are huge amounts of fun and so much quicker than the majority of classic and vintage cars twice the price !
