1987 Vauxhall Nova 1.2 club (ltd edition), the car belonged to an elderly couple who were friends of the family. They purchased the car in 1989 with a very low 5000 miles on the clock (I have the bill of sale) The car was registered in the Peterborough area and that is where it has been all of its life. The couple only used the car for a 2 mile trip into town for the weekly shop so it never covered any distance. Sadly the gentleman passed away in 2005 and that's where the car sat until a few days ago, although it had been started and moved on a regular basis and kept in a heated garage, this is why it looks so amazing the couple really cared for it. The car is absolutely rust free, the underside is mint as are all the panels, the arches are crisp and feel like new, the doors, bonnet, boot, wings, everything is superb I just cant believe it's 25 years old !
The paint work again is what you would expect, its spot on crisp all over and retains a deep shine to it , I found one tiny chip on the front edge of the bonnet about the size of a match head. It really does look stunning. The interior is again in super order which relates to the very low low mileage, never been smoked in, the headlining is mint as is the dash clocks etc etc..
The seats and carpet again are what you would expect from it, no marks, stains,rips or anything it is very 1980's in there. The boot area to is spot on. It has its original mw/lw radio with the standard speakers in place. A factory sunroof is fitted so makes the interior even brighter!! it still sits on it original Michelin tyres (checked the date stamp) with matching spare which has never seen the tarmac and are all in excellent order 6mm of tread left on them. The tool kit is complete and unused. It has at some stage had a complete new exhaust fitted which stiil looks as if it was fitted yesterday. The engine is sweet as a nut as is the gearbox no noises whatsoever, I took it for its mot today and found it a joy to drive, pulls well but in all fairness I didn't expect anything less. I have the old mot's to warrant the mileage except one, 2002 due to illness the car was laid up for 18 months, I have the service books and manuals which are in mint condition, 2 keys, and tax discs form 1994. I feel this is one of the best Vauxhall novas available and most certainly the lowest mileage examples.
This Vauxhall Nova deserves sombody who can keep it as it is and keep it as one of the best examples on the road thanks for looking.
