Sellers original description:
1980 Vauxhall Royale Coupe. I have owned it since 2006 and only ever used it for a couple of months, the rest of the time it has been in storage. The total mileage is now 34,000.
The car is one of a very small number left in the UK (less than 50 according to 'How Many Left?') and must be one of the best if not the best unrestored car left.
I have owned the car since 2006 and looking at the MOTs I have only driven it 2000 miles in 7 years
The log books says it has 2 previous owners, but the previous one was a friend of mine who had it for just a couple of weeks after buying it from the original owner. Apparently it used to be used for shows for the Royale/Monza club and would look good today at any meeting.
The car is metallic blue, there does not appear to have been any welding on the bodywork or underneath aside from one very small repair in the wheel arch/sill end. The paint is original and the usual problem area of the arches and suspension turrets are rust free
Mechanically the car is excellent, I have been driving it the past few weeks and it is solid rattle free and gives a fantastic smooth, presentably fast and velour full drive.
The car has a new battery, 4 new tyres and a new stainless steel exhaust
If you want to relive the 1980s this car is a must, a much more distinctive, smoother and now cheaper alternate to a Capri and a much classier car when it was new and now a monument to 1980s styling.
