Sellers original description:
Talbot Samba Convertible 1360cc.
Very rare, Possibly the best one left available. This car looks like it has just rolled out the showroom.
First registered 02/05/1984. The first owner was the Talbot Motor Company then the previous owner owned the vehicle for the next 27 years until I purchased it in May 2012.
It has covered only 23800 genuine miles with all previous MOT certificates to verify this.
The original spare keys, jack, wheel brace and handbook are with the car.
When these cars were produced they came with wider alloy wheels than the standard car, the spare fits under the bonnet deflated so an electric compressor was supplied with the car the compressor is still there, never been used and still has the original calibration certificate with it.
The cover which fits over the rear seats when the hood is down is in perfect condition and suspect never been used.
The car is totally original apart from four new tyres and a new stainless steel exhaust which was fitted this year.
It has always been stored in a garage and I would doubt if it has seen any rain. Over the past two years it has only been used to attend many car shows where it has turned a few heads.
When you open the bonnet, doors or boot the paintwork is original with no signs of rust whatsoever. The inner wings are often polished.
In 1987 I started my apprenticeship at the local Peugeot Talbot main dealer and I remember this car coming in every year for its MOT and service, the owner was very fussy so any service or repair was done regardless of cost. The car was looked after by this garage until it closed a few years ago.
