This 1967 Seat 600D is a 2 owner very very rare find. The only UK owner bought it while perusing his profession as a tattoo artist in Spain. The car was one owner in Spain and had been dry stored for a long time. Two things happened in Spain of note. The car was taken to a Seat rally and came 5th out of hundreds of other cars, this was due to its condition and originality. The next amazing thing was the owner visited a local Seat dealership that was closing and bought every spare part they had, hence there is box loads of spares with the car which in itself is rare and will come with the car. But also gave the new owner the perfect excuse to replace everything rubber and perishable etc. This was done upon return to the UK approx 4 years ago. If it wasn't for this trip to the dealership I don't think the roof rack would have been found. The list of spares that come with the car is massive. Car is taxed and long mot and is ready to enjoy. Recent work includes a major rewire.
We also hold the original build sheets, and original Spanish docs from new and an original instruction book.
Also as a bonus if the full asking price is paid we may throw in the model.
Engine & Transmission:
Having only covered some 21000 miles and being regularly looked after, the engine is super clean and running lovely. No leaks or squeaks. It is on the button and starts first time every time. The gearbox operates as it should. Absolutely fab.
Wheels, Tyres & Brakes:
The original wheels have been treated to a coat of cream and are as new. With all the spares bought with the car it has a nos set of chrome hubcaps again as new. Full set of matching pirellis all round again as new, having only done some 900 miles in last 3 years.
Exterior:
The quality of the paint and bodywork is truly amazing. This was one owner in Spain and had been dry stored. The new owner on return to the UK repainted in the original colour some 4 years ago. There is no rot or rust anywhere its superb. We really enjoyed polishing this one. The bright work and glass again are close to faultless. This car is very very original and the finish is amazing. The roof rack is original and is like rocking horse poo. It of course comes with the car. The mudflaps have been added but again are nos ones.
Interior & Equipment:
The interior is very basic, but this is its appeal. The clocks and lights all work, though the fuel gauge does have a mind of its own. The seats have been covered with covers from the period with just a small tear in the drivers seat. All original mats etc etc.
