This car needs to be seen and driven. I have owned this car for 2 years now, and have covered nearly 5,000 miles, using it in the summer months and for shows. There is a massive history file, with every bill and every mot from new, along with the original bill of sale (£8,153) it has mot till january 15th 2011 and taxed till the end of december 2010.
This car is a very rare vehicle as not many have survived. The car has the 2 original keys, with supplying dealer leather keyfob, original dealer number plates and dealer rear window sticker.
History of B70 DGT
B70 dgt was first bought new by Mr J.C.Dow. From H.L.Austin. And son in London. Mr Dow first contacted H.L.Austin asking to be informed when a demonstrator would be available after viewing the brochure, and after trying the vehicle, he placed an order for a Rover 216 VP Auto as soon as one was released. He was then contacted by letter on 22nd april 1985 informing him of the due arrival of such a car (letter on file history) which he went on to buy at a total cost of £8,173.81 on the 3rd may 1985, which is the car you see before you. The car went on to be cherished and used sparingly by its new owner, Mr J.C.Dow until it passed to another family member in 2007. The car comes with a superb history file, full service history from h.L austin in stamped service book, letters to mr dow from the dealer and original purchase receipt. It was also converted to unleaded in 1999 (letter from h.L austin) by the original dealer.
