Mint, very low mileage 1980 Opel Manta SR Berlinetta. Finished in Old English Red (Metallic Copper) with black vinyl and beige velour.
History:
NGA 789V was owned by Low's Opel of Shawlands Glasgow (has dealer sticker and plate) from new it was believed to be a top end demonstrator before first owner in 1980. It was owned by first owner for 14 years then bought by second owner in 1994. It was rarely used and then garaged in 1997. The car had sat garaged until I bought it mid 2012. The previous owner was a colleague and friends father.
I have original service books., and all mots dating back to 1985. These and condition of vehicle verify its mileage. This car has even has its original mats and hard card underliners!!!
Mechanical:
This car has had new parts extensively.New Brakes, fuel pump, fuel lines, accuspark ignition, new carburetor, tank cleaned, new ignition coil, distributor cap ,plugs, air filter, leads, new earth strap, new earth contacts, new bulbs all round. also new thermostat, fan belt, headlamps reconditioned. I have masses of reciepts, and have spent hours and hours bringing this car back from standing in a shed doing nothing. Drives smoothly with no knocks its very very smooth.
Bodywork:
WAXOYL +++++++ This car is super solid and was waxoyld and garaged. A fellow owners club enthusiast and bodywork pro painted the car. This did not need done, and was only done to modernise the and refresh the cars look. The painter also waxoyled all the cars cavaties. This is becoming a very rare car especially in this condition and is currently going up in value.
