Sellers original description:

On first inspection when I purchased this car in October 2011 it was very apparent that the car was pretty special, its time warp showroom condition just as it had rolled off the production line at the Nissan Sunderland plant in 1990 with no evidence of animals or smoking. The cigarette lighter shows no evidence of being used and remarkably the immaculate car interior still has a new car smell. The windscreen looks original and is chip and scratch free.

On closer inspection on ramps a detailed underside examination showed it to be a stunning original collision free example of this model well worth my investment of time, money and effort to preserve for future years. Unfortunately my personal circumstances have now changed, plans to enjoy many more years with this car are not to be, a house move forces a very reluctant sale. The car has resided in a dry heated garage in my ownership.

At its first car show event this year on 6th of May 2013, “The Andrew Greenwoods 36th Nott’s Classic Car Bike & Mini Show, Thorsby Park, Near Ollerton, Nottinghamshire” it won the runner up prize award for best in its class.

The spare and rear tyres are original to the car Goodyear SP4 s, the spare shows no evidence of ever being fitted and looks brand new. The rear two above tyres are approx. half worn. The front two have been replaced and look new with little tread wear.

The following have been carried out during my ownership, items marked * carried out to enhance investment / appearance only:-

Brand New “scorpion” SA30 ultrasonic remote control car alarm very carefully fitted. Two remote control key fobs are included.

Original Nissan Genuine timing belt changed, sticker affixed next to VIN. Plate

Engine Oil changed.

Transmission Oil Changed.

Brake Fluid flushed changed, master cylinder reservoir cleaned.

Power assisted steering fluid flushed, changed reservoir cleaned.

Cooling system header tank removed cleaned system flashed and coolant renewed.

Front and rear wiper blades renewed.

In addition to the above mechanical works the following body preservation work has been carried out during my ownership:

A comprehensive scheme of waxoyl cavity wax treatment has been applied to ALL hollow chassis box sections. The inner wheel arches, mud flaps etc. have been carefully removed and replaced in order to effect though treatment. The only weak rust areas on T72 bluebirds seams to focus around front leading edge lower wings, this car is flawless in this area and has been liberally treated with waxoyl / cavity wax based black underseal accordingly to prevent future problems.

Black Waxoyl based underseal has been very carefully applied to every Inch of the underside floor pan area having been first cleaned and inspected, all remaining underside vulnerable areas including brake and fuel lines have been cleaned inspected and treated with Waxoyl to enhance future corrosion resistance.

Every inch of the bodywork including door shuts under bonnet and tailgate have been carefully hand waxed initially using Meguiar's Deep Crystal 3 Step Carnauba Wax system then topped up for shows with a light hand wax using Auto Glym Super Resin Polish. All rubber window, door, sunroof tailgate and bonnet seals have been carefully cleaned and treated with silicone rubber grease to preserve and protect.
All door locks hinges catches and mechanisms have been lubricated, under bonnet bolts, straps, earth bonding points etc. have been WD40 treated then cleaned to preserve and protect. Both Original Keys are present for this car, the main ignition key even has a green led light built into it and of course has had a new battery fitted to it.

Every device functions on this car flawlessly, the “as standard” on this GS model electrically operated tilt and slide sunroof, electric windows (all four), electric radio aerial, electrically adjusted rear view mirrors and electrically operated power door locks (all four) perform precisely and faultlessly. The engine starts first time is quiet and smooth once warmed through, drives beautifully. The clutch and gears are light and smooth, there is very slight occasional hesitancy under acceleration due I suspect to me being used to driving more modern fuel injected engine management controlled cars. The car has passed two MOT s in my ownership both first time with very positive comments expressed by the MOT testers on both occasions.
