Sellers original description:
Mitsubishi Starion EX Turbo 2.6 Widebody in gleaming Mexican red with contrasting black nappa full leather Recaro sports interior and with genuine ultra low mileage of only 63,845 miles.
Registered in the UK on 5 February 1990 on a ‘G’ plate, it has a 5 speed manual gearbox and limited slip differential. All the original body mouldings, EX widebody option spoilers are in place and all are in superb and as new condition. The car has the original factory 16” turbo option alloy wheels, which are in superb as new condition with quality 215/55/16 Goodyear Eagle tyres on the front and 225/50/16 Michelin Pilot tyres on the rear.
The car is in superb condition and as far as I know has been free from any accident damage repairs (the car is totally clear on the HPI register). The mileage of 63,845 is correct and confirmed via the National Mileage Register, and comes with a comprehensive service history with 22 stamps in the service book from Mitsubishi main dealers and after a 10 year period in dry storage, recommissioned and most recently maintained by specialists and includes numerous previous MoT certificates and invoices.
The engine is the Mitsubishi 4G54 2.6 litre engine, very powerful and sounds fantastic .There are no nasty knocks or rattles, water or oil leaks, the turbo boosts as it should without any horrible smoke trails or dramas. Recent routine maintenance includes reconditioned front calipers and it has just been fully serviced including all fluids.
The exterior bodywork and underneath of the car are in superb condition, totally rust free, with gleaming Mexican red paintwork, this car really is a show winner and is priced accordingly, so please no dreamers. It’s certainly not the usual rusty and rotten 23 year-old Starion you usually find, but I think you would have a hard time finding another one as there are reportedly only 15 left in the UK. The interior is in perfect condition throughout. The vehicle benefits from the usual model features of its era including, full black nappa leather Recaro sports interior, electric windows, electric sunroof, premium Kenwood KDC-314 stereo with CD player. The original and complete toolkit is present, along with the space saver wheel and jack.
The car benefits from the having the bullet proof 2555cc engine with computer controlled fuel injection and intercooled turbo charger, developing a healthy 170bhp, coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox with a limited slip differential.
I have the full V5 registration document, original handbook and service pack, spare keys and alarm fobs, plus the car has a brand new MOT, with no advises until 4 April 2014. There are no known faults with the car,
This car is totally original and standard with a genuine ultra low mileage and in showroom condition throughout. These are extremely rare and very sought after cars and are commanding exceptionally high prices with collectors and enthusiasts and in the current marketplace represent exceptional value for money whilst becoming extremely rewarding investments. This has got to be one of the best examples of the desirable widebody Starions around. The car has been invited to be shown on the main grid at the forth coming Goodwood Breakfast Club ‘Sushi Sunday’ themed event this Sunday, 7th April at Goodwood Motor Racing Circuit, where you can view the car should you wish.
On the whole this is a fantastic car that has been fastidiously maintained and cherished throughout its life, and which looks and drives like a classic widebody Starion should.
