I have just returned from Genk, Belgium where I drove from here down to Dover, across the ferry to Calais and then through France and into Belgium, the trip was for 10 days and I returned home this week having covered over 1500 trouble free miles in this car...hood down, cruise control set at 75mph with an occassional blast above, where roads allowed, it ate every mile up with not a jot of trouble and in pure luxury and comfort...there isn't a rattle, squeek or mechanical issue anywhere, MPG was frugal and the pure enjoyment I had was priceless, everywhere we went people would stop and look, chat, admire and even take their own photos ! I truly would not hesitate to fill the tank today and drive anywhere !
The car was MOT' end of May at a MAIN MERCEDES DEALERSHIP....yes I kid you not...the tester remarked on how fantastic it was, the car flew through with no advisories etc....
The coachwork is immaculate, both sides are straight as an arrow and whilst it will have had paintwork Im sure sometime in its 27yr life you cannot tell, the paintwork gleams as does all the chromework accordingly. The interior is UNMARKED and benefits from the expensive rear seat upgrade fitted with correct seat belts ! The cigarette lighter is UNUSED as is the ashtray, AS NEW ! All buttons, dash, wood etc are again unmarked and pristine ! Everything works exactly as it did when it left the showroom !
The hood is perfect, no marks, nicks etc and all rear windows are 100% perfect. The car comes with a matching hardtop and again it is in pristine condition with a perfect working heated rear window.
The alloys are unmarked and brand new tyres were fitted prior to the Belgium trip and are still almost as new ! The car comes with a genuine hood cover for the hardtop when in storage as well as a FULL dry cover for the WHOLE car also.....the car also has its ORIGINAL wind deflector !
The car drives like it has just left the showroom, powerful, smooth, tight with no niggles whatsoever, at a recent Tatton Park Classic car show it attracted huge attention from various show people who felt it would have faired extremely well had I shown it.
