One private retired owner since new: The first owner Mr Miller collected the Mercedes S Class from the Supplying Mercedes Main Agent. John R Weir Mercedes-Benz, Grangemouth. Pre registered and with only seven miles recorded at delivery. This being a second car and used very sparingly. Mainly used for holidays and travelling to Southampton once or twice per year. Almost all motorway use and garaged for long periods. The Mercedes would be serviced as recommended. Servicing was carried out at 4683 miles, 13269 Miles and 20000 miles. (My Mercedes is booked in to have a full inspection and service this week).
Exterior Condition: Wonderful: The bodywork of my Mercedes S Class is quite exceptional. With the exception of perhaps a very small blemish you will be hard pushed to find fault. The worst being a small scratch on the rear bumper edge. The exterior panels and paint work is in stunning condition. Looking down the side of the car every panel has a glass like finish. Every panel is quite perfect. All the door checks are immaculate and polished and the chrome sill treads are unmarked. All the glass is in perfect condition. Please see my pictures.
Interior Condition: A non smoker’s car from new. The cloth roof lining is immaculate and unmarked. The floor carpets are immaculate and have a deep luxurious pile. The Mercedes has been fitted with branded carpet mats from new. These have gone a long way to protect the interior carpets. The rear seats and carpets look almost new. The front passenger seat compartment is similar. The driver’s seat compartment is quite exceptional and shows very little sign of use. All the dash materials are like new and the maple wood trim is perfect and highly polished. I can’t stress enough how nice the interior is. It is like sitting in a new car.
Boot Compartment: Quite immaculate and showing little sign of ever being used. The floor carpets are spotless and the black plastic trims are free from scuffs. The spare wheel, locking wheel nut and full tool kit is all present. The spare wheel is a full size alloy and looks unused. The sic disc C/D Changer is concealed in the boot compartment.
Engine Compartment: Quite amazing. All the panels are free from dust and oil. The engine bay is frequently cleaned and polished with a quality wax. Please see my pictures.
Alloy Wheels and Tyres: The alloy wheels are in excellent condition. Two of the off side alloy wheels have a little light kerbing. It would take very little to bring them back to perfect. All the alloys still have their factory gloss. The front tyres have excellent tread depth and are good for many miles to come. The rear tyres are brand new continentals.
On the Road: Turn the key and the S Class starts first time. As you drive away you will quickly realise how good my car is. The suspension is ultra smooth and the engine is powerful and whisper quiet. The steering feels taught and positive. The automatic gears move up and down the box with ease. You will hardly feel the car moving up the gears. The climate control keeps the interior at the desired temperature and theirs no need to turn the audio up too loud. The cabin is that quiet on the move. Every electrical option is working perfectly. Everything is just as you would expect it to be.
This is a really special and well cared for S Class. It has wanted for nothing. It has the 2.8 V6 engine which gives excellent fuel consumption and has good performance, 200bhp. The engine mechanics and all electrical options are in perfect working order. The car drives as it left the factory. Just as you would expect from a 27000 mile S Class. The exterior bodywork is quite exceptional and the Interior is amazing. The engine compartment is a sight to behold and boot compartment is perfect.
My Mercedes wants for nothing. The Mot isn’t due until the 1st of December and I will have her serviced in a few days. The next service isn’t due until September next year or longer if you are a low miles driver. The road tax is valid until the 30th of December. There is really nothing for the new owner to do at all. First to view will buy my car. Low mileage s class models are very hard to come by.
