Sports dials consisting of; tachometer, oil pressure, oil temperature, ammeter, water temperature and turbo boost gauge. Dealer fitted accessories include; Front and rear Lancia mud flaps, roof aerial, Sikura alarm, HF World Rally boot badge, HF grille badge, rear blinds and flat speakers.
EXTERIOR:
Obsessively treasured from new this pristine Lancia is finished in the optional Nero Metallic, (code 602), and has a mirror sheen with an amazing gleaming brightness achieved from top end polishing creams. Kept in a heated garage by the only owner and protected by Tuff-kote Dinol from new this example is stunning. All Lancia Dealer accessories are still fitted including front and rear mud flaps and the factory fit brown tinted Saint Gobain glass is number plate etched. A tiny touch up mark is evident on the front window panel. The engine bay has all the original factory stickers intact and very clean, but, as with the underside of the car, not Concours d'Elegance detailed. Spectacular.
INTERIOR:
On request of the only owner, the Lancia Dealer was instructed never to remove the interior protective film on all carpeting and door cards and incredibly this remains intact today. The sports anatomical seats are upholstered in a combination of grey Alcantara chamois and Harlem design woollen fabric and again have been covered from new. All the sports instrumentation functions correctly. A discreet blanking plate hides a cassette player mated to a boot CD multi changer installed three years after registration. As close to factory fresh as is possible 22 years after production.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION:
Thanks to a 140bhp 1585cc double overhead camshaft power unit with electronic fuel injection and turbocharging this HF turbo ie achieves a top speed of 125mph and an impressive acceleration time to 62mph of 8.7 seconds. Rally bred performance courtesy of a Garrett T2 turbo charger with an air to air intercooler never fails to impress. A replacement stainless steel exhaust imported from Italy and air box have been fitted. The original air box remains with the car. The 5-speed close ratio transmission is light and precise but the selector shift is long in travel, as when new!
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES:
Standard HF turbo ie light cromodora wheels are immaculate and shod in matching, (and as fitted when new), Firestone F590 165/65 R14 tyres with good tread. Maximum stopping power is provided by all round disc brakes which are ventilated at the front with the added security of servo assistance.
HISTORY FILE:
Purchased new by Mr Neil Cooper on the 7th June 1990 from Lancia Main Dealers, Stewart Piper Autos for the sum of £11,995. Only ever cherished by him with exacting requirements this car has been religiously and annually serviced up to 2004 and then twice since this point. The last service in June 2012 at 30,648 miles included a cam-belt and water-pump change. The vehicle has now only covered 30,784 backed by service history and annual MOT certificates. The factory protective interior sheeting has never been removed on strict instructions from Mr Cooper.
The original purchase invoice, factory consignment sheet and a full complete blue alcantara A5 folder containing all the handbooks remain. The service book is accurately stamped. Two sets of keys on a Lancia key fob are included along with two remote fobs.
One for the modern classic car collector.
