Sellers original description:
Lagonda DB 3-Litre Fixed-Head Coupé, bodied by Tickford of Newport Pagnell, 1954.
One of just 70 examples ever produced.
This car is the one of the few with the more practical floor gear change. The car also has built-in hydraulic jacks.
Body: good condition. No rust, as it is full aluminum. The British Racing Green paintwork shows the age and it looks better in the photos, there are some blemishes. The chrome trim is in excellent condition.
The red hand-stitched leather is in exceptional condition, ensuring a wonderful patina. The interior has luxurious new beige carpet. Also headlining is perfect. Woodwork needs to be refinished as the old varnish is now dry. All the instruments work properly, but not the odometer (I am trying to fix it). The radio is not connected. The interior has a very nice feel and a superb smell inside.
Mechanically. The car starts, drives, steers and stops perfectly.
All the electrics work.
Running very well, no overheating even in this hot summer, this rare carriage is perfectly usable just as it is, but perhaps with some improvements along the way.
Basically the car is very usable and ready to be enjoyed.
