Here we have a 1972 Capri MK 1 Facelift Marine Blue with Gold Coachlines. The car itself is a very rare original example of a Capri Mk1 fitted with a three speed auto box factory fitted, the remainder were converted to manual boxes by previous owners. This Capri is in excellent condition inside and out. It has a Capri restoration certificate. Taking into consideration the exceptionally low mileage and general overall condition of the car, this was dated in 2006. The valuation then was £7500.00. This Mk1 is possibly one of the best few remaining on the road today.
Tan Interior New Carpets including overcarpets.
This Car was found in a garage after 23 years in 2006.
It has undergone restoration, a small amount of welding to lower inner wings and front panel.
New offside sill fitted, new exhaust, replacement radiator, new brake pipes, wheel cylinders, brake shoes, new rear shocks, new front road springs, new front shocker inserts, new front calipers and pads, new steering rack, track rod ends, track control arms, steering coupling, brake master cylinder, tyres, servo and a full engine service and much more to much to list.
The Ford Capri has been for a full bare metal respray, unable to source gold coach lines the car went to a sign writer who did the coach lines by hand to bring the car back to how it was delivered new by Fords.
New front & Back bumpers fitted. The car then went for an MOT in Jan 2007, speedo reading was 22956.
The car has only done 1145 miles in last three years.
This car has won many awards for best MK1 Capri for many years all over Dorset.
