Sellers original description:

Ford Capri 3.0S MK III VHK494S is probably the most historicaly significant Ford Capri currently available for sale. Brief History Registered to the FORD Motor company January 1978, It is believed to be one of the first prototype MKII Capris and the only peppermint green 3.0S To be produced as this colour was not an option on this model.

VHK was assigned to the FORD press department and loaned out to AUTO CAR magazine where it became the long term test car 78-79 driven by John Miles (Lotus F1 Driver) and Tony Howard. John Miles purchased the VHK from FORD at the end of it's term with AUTO CAR magazine and used it as his test and development car for his engineering company W.M Developments where it was modified to become a more powerful and efficient alternative to FORDs Series 'X' car. It went on to be tried and test by much of the motoring press of the time. I purchased VHK494S in 1997 and restored it to W.M Development specification over a period of 3 years. Finished late 1999 it was tried and tested by John Miles at Lotus.
