Sellers original description:
A fully restored 1966 mk1 2 door Cortina GT.
Intro:
Fully restored by Colin Ginn who in recent years has emerged as a highly respected restorer of the marque more recently receiving high aclaim for creating the "saxon" as seen at Goodwood this year. Finished in original dragoon red with black interior, standard appearance apart from Lotus 5.5j wheels and quarter bumpers.
Body:
The bodywork can only be descibed as perfect. The paintwork is beautiful, a deep red, the origional colour with contrasting black stripe. It looks even better in the flesh than it already does in the photo's.
The colour seams to bring out & enhance all the curves, the rear lights, chromework etc etc. Needs to be viewed.
Engine:
Lotus performance is provided by a 1760 modified crossflow on sidedraught dellortos arguably offering greater reliability than a twincam and sounding fantastic. Most importantly it is less than half the price of a Lotus in the same condition. The gearbox is very smooth & leads to a fantasic, pleasurable driving experience.
Interior:
The interior in black is a great contrast to the exterior colour. More importantly it is all in A1 condition.
Chassis:
The chassis & floor to the underside is in great unmolested condition. All floor pans are in exceptional condition. It has been undersealed at the time of restoration for road use.
This car represents great value for money compared to other classic cars in this condition. Ready to show or just use for pleasure this summer, or a great addition to any collector.
