Herb is a 1989 F registered Citroen 2CV Dolly Special in green and fresh white, with a navy blue interior. It has an extremely low mileage of 32k with a documented full service history. It comes with a V5 registration document, and a full 12 months MOT.
In 2008 (1500 miles ago) It was been lovingly restored with no expense spared. Many hours have been spent rebuilding the Dolly sympathetically to a very high standard.
The body has been taken off the chassis and welded in places. It has then had 3 layers of underseal applied leaving a strong and protected structure. Waxoil has been injected into the sills and cavities.
It has new sills and floors, on a replacement galvanised chassis.
There is no rust or corrosion anywhere. It has been primed and then sprayed in 2 pack paint. The finish is excellent, very high gloss, durable and smooth.
There is a locking filler cap.
The number plates are in durable pressed aluminium.
The hood matches the body colour of green, and has been fitted with a heated rear window.
The Dolly starts on the first flick of the key as an electronic ignition system has been fitted.
The recorded mileage is a very low 32k miles, and has a documented full service history.
The clutch and the king pins were new 1500 miles ago
All mechanical parts have been cleaned, painted and checked, and replaced if needed. It has been fully serviced.
All tyres are new 1500 miles ago (the spare is unused)
A 2cv user manual, two sets of keys and a workshop manual.
The seats have been reupholstered. They were bought from 2cv Club Cassis, and are in dark blue leather style material.
The door panels are of the same material, with front door pockets .Window clips are fitted to the front windows, and the door pulls are of white leather style material. There is also a rear shelf, again in the same material.
Headrests have been fitted to the seats.
Carpet has been fitted in the front, back, and rear luggage space of the car. There is a spare wheel cover in the rear, and the rear luggage area has been lined for protection.
The steering wheel is padded, and the dashboard colour coordinates with the green of the body. There is an additional green indicator light and blue main beam teltail lights, as well as a red flashing light on the dashboard providing a visual security deterrent.
There is a courtesy light, clock (which illuminates with the headlights on) and a small 2cv model in the same colours, within the interior. A 12v power point has been fitted for electronic accessories such as phone charge/sat nav.
A good quality JVC Radio and CD music system is fitted, with 2 front speakers neatly fitted into the bulk head. The system is of ‘face-off’ style which can be removed for security.
Securon 3 point lap and diagonal automatic seatbelts have been fitted in the rear of the car (to replace the standard lap belts). The anchor points for the belts have had additional thick plates welded and there a strong support bracket fitted at the rear of the seat.
Other additional features:
Halogen headlights fitted.
Green and White Pool Ball is the gear stick handle.
There has been a rear centre brake light fitted which can be seen through the rear window.
An automatic reverse light has been fitted.
