Sellers original description:
A beautiful fully restored car in gleaming red with black vinyl trim.
The Italian designed Isetta micro car was built under licence in a number of different European countries in addition to Brazil, including Spain, France, Germany and the UK. Produced post war it offered cheap short distance transportation for two and became one of the most successful and influential city cars ever created. Because of it's egg shape and bubble-like windows, it became known as a 'bubble car', a name later used for other similar cars.
This particular car is fresh from a four year restoration, recently completed, which reflects an amazing attention to detail and a desire to preserve the originality of the car. It still carries it's original engine and gearbox from when first being registered in the UK on 07-12-1960 as a left hand drive version complete with bumper over-riders, a sunroof and the option of a reverse gear!
The history file shows a comprehensive list of all new parts used in the restoration, which also featured a body strip back to bare metal prior to a professional repaint. Virtually all trim and bright-work has been renewed or refurbished and it has an excellent paint finish, accurate and consistent panel gaps and a very clean underneath.
Ready to use and enjoy with long MOT and road tax, these little cars are now appreciating at a rapid rate. Great fun and value classic motoring! Supplied with VOSA MOT history printout and Hpi all clear certificate.
A great little investment for the future too!
