A lovely example of a rare 1981 Austin Allegro Vanden Plas Twin Carb Vanden Plas finished in Denim Blue, with a brown leather interior, beige carpets and walnut dash & trim.
Only 23,838 miles from new and you can certainly tell from the condition of this vehicle !
It has been fitted with a Broquet fuel replacement filter, so it doesn't need lead replacement.
The walnut dash and trim is all perfect, I don't even think the picnic tables in the back have ever been used, and even the original radio works !
The leather seats are in lovely condition, apart from a wear mark where the driver's seat meets the handbrake (Bad design fault in my opinion !!).
The car is in fantastic condition for it's age and has never seen a weld gun ! but it does have a couple of things I will point out. There is a small dent and scratch in the passenger door and a dent in the left front wheel arch (about 1/2 inch long). These can easily be repaired though.
This Allegro has been to several classic car shows, and we always get comments wherever we go in it!
I will also include a haynes manual and also the original Handbook, Service Passport first issued in 16/01/81 and also the glossy 9 page full colour A4 advertising brochure.
Reg number has been valued at over £700!
I also forgot to mention, has recently had a new exhaust fitted ! And it is used on a 6 month rotation with my other Allegro (Series 3 1300), and garaged when on a SORN and not in use. It came out of hibernation last week for it's MOT and started first time !
